Upside Down Labs
"CHORDS" is a web-based software platform by "Upside Down Labs" designed for real-time acquisition, visualization, and analysis of bio-potential signals such as EMG, EEG, and EOG. It enables researchers, students, and developers to quickly prototype experiments, monitor signals live, record data, and integrate neuroscience workflows with minimal setup, making neuroscience experimentation more accessible and efficient. Project done by Rup and Anuranan as their full time in house designer.
For CHORDS, we crafted a research-first UI/UX system that turns complex neuroscience workflows into clear, intuitive interactions. We designed the end-to-end experience from signal setup and live visualization to data recording and analysis flows with a strong focus on usability, speed, and cognitive clarity. The interface balances technical depth with visual restraint, enabling researchers to focus on experiments, not the software. Every screen, interaction, and micro-decision was designed to make bio-potential signal exploration feel fluid, precise, and accessible.
